Pictogram Design Project
With each of my pictograms, I had a different process. The bee sketches maintained relatively the same shape but became more simplified with each new sketch. The snake sketches kept true to the simplicity of the snake’s shape, but I created different iterations by changing its shape and perspective on each sketch. For my final pictograms, I wanted to create a friendly design that would interest both children and adults. I curated the pictograms by using curved shapes and then curved the edges of the boxes to compliment the form of the pictograms. The colors I chose reference its animal and are meant to accentuate the friendliness of the pictogram. The yellow references a bee’s honey, the pink references the ground in which a snake lives, and the teal references this specific species of duck which is a Eurasian teal duck.

Object Design Exploration Project
This project challenged my creativity like none other I’ve ever completed. I was assigned to create 150 unique sketches of an ordinary fork. Completing this project taught me the importance of sketching in the ideation process of a project, and this project taught me that there is no limit to creativity. Whether it is 150 sketches or 500, there are endless ways to portray the same idea.
